Wondering on a Sunday evening

It happens all of a sudden. I am listening to La Vie En Rose and my mind wanders off on a tangent of what ifs . . .

What if I wasn't born?
Or
What if I didn't start a blog?
Or
What if I didn't name my blog Meanderings and Reflections?
Or
What if I never ever had anyone reading my blog?
Or
What if one fine day I couldn't write?
Or
What if I never heard Edith Piaf singing soulfully?
Or
What if I was someone who didn't have an ear for music?
Or
What if I had never seen Van Gogh’s The Starry Night?
Or
What if I haven’t thought the things I tend to think of?
Or
What if I was a blind practitioner of religion and rituals?
Or
What if I wasn't born in October?
Or
What if I hadn't known that computers existed?
Or
What if I was deaf in spite of being able to hear?
Or
What if I was named a different name than the one that I have now?
Or
What if I had been born in another country?
Or
What if I was green-eyed instead of black?

Would it have mattered, anyway? What are your "What ifs?"

  10. I use to ponder like this and thought many times that would it not be so nice (for me) if time can take me some years back and give me a chance to correct the 'errors' that I neglected.... but even if that occurs one thing is not sure.... that is, if I would reach this moment once again..... that one simple uncertainty fact nullifies all those what-ifs and brings me back into the present moment

  14. Interesting. I don't wonder about any of those things. My What Ifs are more regrets: If I had been 5 minutes earlier I would have seen him/her. If I had chosen a different career when I went back to school.
There are Ifs I don't ever want to contemplate "What if I couldn't run?"

What if ...There are too many! :)
